Melissa DePaolo is a 37 year old Beacon, New York resident who is battling stage IV breast cancer. Her battle began in August 2004 when shortly after returning home from vacation with a few girlfriends, she discovered a lump in her breast.

From that point on life changed tremendously!! Doctors, hospitals, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and that is just to name a few things that cancer suddenly brings into ones life. Not to mention the emotional and psychological distress that begins to coincide with the cancer as well.

Her battle with cancer has brought on her wanting to form an organization that will educate and support others fighting the same battle. Forget U Cancer is that creation and continues to work everyday to help those in need!
