Melissa and Her Battle

Melissa DePaolo is a 37 year old Beacon, NY resident who is battling stage IV breast cancer. Her battle began in August 2004 when shortly after returning home from vacation with a few girlfriends; she discovered a lump in her breast. From that point on her life changed tremendously!! Doctors, hospitals, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and that is just to name a few things that cancer suddenly brings into ones life. Not to mention the emotional and psychological distress that begins to coincide with the cancer as well.

CANCER changes everything!

Melissa continues to fight this battle. She remains positive and brings a smile to the face of all she encounters. You cannot tell by looking at her that she has this disease but it is still there none the less.

The Forget U Cancer Fund would like to do exactly that by helping those fighting this disease in a way to forget they are fighting it by taking away some of the burden caused by cancer by providing education, support and financial assistance.

Cancer can pose a heavy economic burden to patients and their families. Forget U Cancer would like to help by providing assistance for medical, travel, living, or food expenses or whatever the need may be. We are here to help!!

We may not be able to rid the world of this disease yet but we will certainly aid in helping those fighting it and give support in finding the cure.
